IGWR Family House
We are not an orphanage, however we provide a home to some 30 children who are unable to live with their own families for various reasons. WE are their family and they are very much at home in one of our three houses.
IGWR Family House provides accommodation, education, meals, clothing and health care for children who are displaced or unable to live at home for various reasons.
The program operates three houses, providing homes to around 30 children aged between five and 24 years old.
In a nurturing and safe environment, IGWR Family House offers children a stable home – connected to family and community – in which they can focus on their schooling; build friendships and social connections; regain their health and well-being; and develop their independent living skills as well as the social skills essential to cooperative learning
Children also have the opportunity to participate in various recreation programs which aim to build their self-esteem, confidence and sense of belonging.
“Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong,
and laughter never ends.”
